LEADING KIDS IN PUPPETRY AND THEATRE: Wise Fool artists share their experience and skills in making shadow puppet and giant puppet theatre with children. We'll lead you from a stack of newspaper and a garbage bag through all the steps to create great theatre with your classroom or camp group. Puppetry is an engaging and educational medium which can be easily tailored to your curriculum or program needs. Kids not only get to be creative, they also learn about cooperation and working together to create a bigger whole. A great addition to any teacher's repertoire of skills, it's also a fun way to learn.... by doing it yourself! These workshops include information on what supplies you'll need - age ranges for different techniques and tons of helpful hints learned over our 11 years of making puppets with kids from kindergarten to High School and beyond!

Groups we've worked with include:

• Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation Summer Camp Leadership Intensive—teaching giant puppetry, shadow puppetry and theatre and leadership game skills to counselors and apprentices from numerous tribal programs prior to their leading a summer camp for kids.
• San Francisco Bay Area Educators Forum—workshops in puppetry skills for classroom teachers

$60 per artist per contact hour includes consulting to design a workshop to suit your needs - does not include materials, travel or administrative fees.
